Next, place your spiral-sliced ham into a roasting pan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bake.<\/strong> Cover your roasting pan well with foil. Bake for 10 to 18 minutes per pound until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140\u00ba F when checked with an instant-read thermometer. You will occasionally remove the foil to baste the ham with the drippings from the bottom of the roasting pan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rest. <\/strong>Allow the baked ham to rest for 5 to 10 minutes after removing it from the oven before you serve. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Bake as above or customize with the glaze variation of your choice! I&#8217;ve included my favorites!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Copycat Honey Baked Ham Recipe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A delicious Honey Baked Ham recipe that you can make at home! It is always a crowd and family favorite and so easy to make!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ingredients-0\">Ingredients <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To make my Copycat Honey Baked Ham, you&#8217;ll need <strong>ham<\/strong>, <strong>melted butter<\/strong>, <strong>honey<\/strong>, <strong>sugar<\/strong>, and <strong>seasonings<\/strong>. Seasonings for this option include <a href=\"https:\/\/addapinch.com\/stone-house-seasoning-recipe\/\">Stone House Seasoning<\/a>, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and paprika. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-instructions\">Instructions <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prep and Bake.<\/strong> You&#8217;ll follow the same prep and baking instructions as you do for Baked Ham, which is detailed completely in the recipe instructions. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Make the Glaze. <\/strong>Mix together the sugar and all of the seasonings to make the glaze. With about 10 minutes left of baking time, add half of the seasoning to a small saucepan and 3 tablespoons of water. Boil for a minute and then remove from the heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coat and Broil. <\/strong>During the last 5 minutes of baking, remove the ham from the oven and remove the foil. Pat the remaining sugar mixture onto the top of the ham. Turn the oven to broil. Broil for several minutes until the sugar mixture is bubbly. It requires <strong>three<\/strong> ingredients. Next, place your spiral-sliced ham into a roasting pan. Add your brown sugar to a medium bowl or large liquid measuring cup. Slowly pour your Coca-Cola over the brown sugar and whisk to combine. Pour the cola glaze mixture over your ham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bake.<\/strong> Cover your roasting pan well with foil and bake for 10 to 18 minutes per pound until the internal temperature reaches 140\u00ba F. Occasionally remove the foil to baste the ham with the cola mixture from the bottom of the roasting pan. You&#8217;ll want to remove the foil for the last 10 minutes of cooking time so that after the final glaze, the glaze can caramelize on the ham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Serve. <\/strong>Remove from the oven and allow to rest before serving.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Variations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/addapinch.com\/cranberry-orange-glazed-ham-recipe\/\">Cranberry Orange Glazed Ham<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; Combine 1 (14-ounce) can of jellied cranberry sauce, 1\/4 cup orange juice, and 1\/2 cup of packed brown sugar. I like to reserve the bone for <a href=\"https:\/\/addapinch.com\/pot-likker-soup-recipe\/\">soups<\/a><span style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/addapinch.com\/pot-likker-soup-recipe\/\">&nbsp;and<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/addapinch.com\/slow-cooker-turnip-greens-recipe\/\">turnip greens<\/a>&nbsp;and add it to my&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/addapinch.com\/black-eyed-peas-recipe\/\">black-eyed<\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/addapinch.com\/black-eyed-peas-recipe\/\"> peas<\/a> while they are cooking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>When using bone-in hams, you&#8217;ll want to account for the bone&#8217;s weight in your weight measurement. <strong>As a rule of thumb for bone-in ham, <em>I plan 1\/2 pound per person<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 people = 3 pounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8 people = 4 pounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 people = 5 pounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>12 people = 6 pounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>14 people = 7 pounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>16 people = 8 pounds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This guideline should help you plan so that everyone can enjoy their meal, and you&#8217;ll hopefully have enough for a ham sandwich the next day! \ud83e\udd70<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Temperatures and Guidelines for Baking Ham<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>My recipe is based on the recommendations provided by the USDA for pre-cooked, spiral-sliced ham. I&#8217;ve also included the information for baking other types of ham so that you have this information as a reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pre-Cooked and Spiral Sliced Ham<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cooking Temperature and Time:<\/strong> The ham should weigh between seven to nine pounds. Bake at a temperature of 325\u00ba F for 10 to 18 minutes per pound. The internal temperature should be 140\u00ba F. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-12\">Pre-Cooked and Boneless Ham<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-13\"><strong>Cooking Temperature and Time:&nbsp;<\/strong>The ham should weigh between six and 12 pounds. Bake at a temperature of 325\u00b0 F for 15 to 24 minutes per pound. The internal temperature should be 140\u00b0F.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-15\">Uncooked and Bone-In Ham<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-16\"><strong>Cooking Temperature and Time:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Half ham weighing five to eight pounds. Bake at 325\u00ba F for 35 to 40 minutes per pound. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whole bone-in hams weighing 12 to 16 pounds. Bake at 325\u00ba F for 22 to 26 minutes per pound. The internal temperature should be 145\u00b0F.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: USDA<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-store-and-freeze-baked-ham\">How to Store and Freeze Baked Ham<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To store:<\/strong> Cooked ham should be wrapped tightly and stored in the refrigerator as soon as possible after serving.
